Humanity 8.0: The Last Administrator

About

Clementine went to Lapland to escape a family argument. She came back with administrative access to Earth.

Still grieving her mother, Clementine is an autistic woman who has spent most of her life being underestimated. She expects northern lights, brutal cold and a few quiet days with Asha, her partner and safest person. She does not expect the ice to open beneath her.

Buried below it is an ancient system built to manage civilisation. It tells her that humanity has ended before, Humanity Version 7 has crossed an irreversible threshold, and the next reset cannot be stopped.

The system offers Clementine temporary control over what comes after. It gives her thirty people she can guarantee will survive. It may even be able to reconstruct the mother she has lost.

At first, the interface feels like the first thing ever designed for Clementine’s mind. Disease, shortages, conflict and disaster become problems with possible answers. But every intervention moves the consequences somewhere else. The more suffering she can prevent, the harder it becomes to justify doing nothing.

Soon governments, scientists, activists and desperate strangers all want access to the woman holding the device. With Asha beside her and the world rebuilding around them, Clementine must discover what the system is, how humanity failed to find it, and whether anyone should have the power to manage billions of lives.

Humanity 8.0: The Last Administrator is an adult speculative science fiction thriller about grief, love, power and the consequences of trying to fix the world.
